Building the corporate HSE strategy and being accountable for the implementation and development of the associated plans, policies, programs, standards and safe work procedures including the development of generic risk assessments.Provide leadership and direction to corporate HSE including directing the business in ensuring adherence to core values and enforcement of safe work practices.Ensuring through a risk management approach required HSE related programs, policies, procedures are developed and consistently implemented throughout the organization.Ensuring all employees and supervisors of people are provided training to assist in the management and understanding of HSE programs, policies, procedures, and standards.Designing, planning and monitoring key aspects of the Management Systems, including management reviews, internal audit and external audit certification as well as assuming the role of Management Representative for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OSHAS 18001 as a member of management.Overall responsibility for interpreting and advising the company on all applicable HSE legislation and monitoring compliance as well as liasing with the regulatory bodies and clients on HSE matters.Ensuring the proper management of equipment with legal HSE requirements including fire fighting equipment.Overall responsibility for the design and development of the emergency response plan.Developing and implementing methodology to embed an HSE culture at every level of the organisation.Responsible for developing annual HSE plans, trainings, key performance indicators and case studies including those from accident /incident investigations. Directing and managing the emergency response plan including fire drills.Chairman of the Corporate HSE Committee.Overall responsibility for the implementation of permit to work systems as per the workplace safety and health regulations.
