Property development runs in my family as my father and sister are both involved in the industry and started their careers at a young age. My father started one of the first Century 21 franchises in the United States in the 1970s and my sister delivered two outstanding residential projects on the Gold Coast, Australia, in her early 20s. After completing a Bachelor of Commerce and Law degree, majoring in Accounting, and being admitted as a lawyer in 1999, I relocated to Emerald in Central Queensland to establish an agricultural enterprise on behalf of my family, known as Evergreen Farms. Eighteen years later, it is now one of the largest, privately held agribusinesses in Australia. While I am extremely proud of Evergreen Farms, my true passion lies in property development. Since 1999, I have run Pacifiq, a company set up to realise my father's dream of creating a new 4,000 hectare township in Greater Flagstone, Queensland, known as Flinders. I have been leading a multi-disciplinary team of experts and working with Local, State and Federal Government officials in the planning and delivery of Flinders. Given the enormous scale and long-term nature of the project, my attitude is that if I cannot finish it in my lifetime, my children will finish it for me and if not them, then my children's children.
