About Darwing Martínez Sánchez
I am a GIS analyst and IT passionate professional. I have acquired experience in the processes of management, analysis, design, data collection, development, deployment of desktop and web systems, but mainly related to GIS or CAD data engineering. I have been part of multidisciplinary teams for different projects related to fields like cadastral and municipal data, remote sensing, land use, census data, data collection processes, and disaster risk management.Over the years I have been involved in GIS and IT projects management for private, public sectors and international cooperation institutions in Central America. Additionally, I have experience in software development processes, and I am using this knowledge to plan and manage projects using AGILE approach and SCRUM methodologies.Moreover, I must mention that I like to teach about GIS/CAD Software use for practical applications. My last teaching contribution was for structuralia.com in a master’s degree module called ICT and GIS applied to disaster risk management and climate change.
