As an Infantry Weapons Squad Leader, I was responsible for the health, welfare, discipline, morale, and safety of five Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) and four Soldiers. During Combat Operations, I selected the tactical weapons emplacement sites and assisted the Platoon Leader in strategic planning. I also maneuvered machine gun and antiarmor teams in accordance with the Platoon Leader's direction and the Commander's intent. Additionally, I ensured the accountability, maintenance, and combat readiness of over $8,000,000 worth of modified tables of organization and equipment.Key Achievements:Acted as Platoon Sergeant for a 24-man Headquarters Platoon during the Mission Readiness Exercise for deployment.Displayed sound judgment and tactical proficiency during multiple partnered operations as Weapons Squad Leader.Completed 53 combat patrols and 27 escort missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom 13-14.Led Stryker section and weapons squad during 25 screen missions and six Combined Arms Breaching Team missions, covering over 150 kilometers.Dedicated to developing subordinate NCOs, enabling one NCO to be recommended for Staff Sergeant.Trained weapons squad in preparation for deployment, contributing to developing new SOPs for future platoon operations.Trained 24 HQ Platoon Soldiers in battle tracking, analog and computer skills, and military briefings, enhancing their basic TOC system skills during the MRE.Maintained accountability of over $8,000,000 worth of sensitive items and Soldiers' Rapid Fielding Initiative items in a forward-deployed area.Committed to the readiness of Soldiers and self, achieving no accidents, injuries, or serious incidents during the rated period.
