By education, I am a biomedical engineer. And an aspiring data scientist. By nature, I am a person who likes to understand and research things, whether it is technology or any other aspect of life. I recently moved to Boston, MA with my Belgian husband and a Greek rescue dog Kelvin, and I am looking for a full time position as researcher/scientist/engineer in biomedical engineering, signal processing, statistics (including ML), data science or finite element analysis. I have an L2 visa with EAD.My life story:I began to get interested in engineering from early on. My passion started with accidentally soldering my fingers when repairing a headset. It grew more when another time, to the huge dismay of my father, I almost obliterated our WiFi router. As every success story is also a story of great failures, my experiences inspired me to study physics and math. I grew older and I got a hand on things, I worked hard and passed the entrance tests to a high school specialized in Physics and Mathematics. There I learned to solve problems sequentially - by not necessarily disassembling the whole device, but taking smaller research steps. For my Bachelor studies, I was enrolled at the Bauman Moscow State Technical University, again on the basis of entrance tests. My hard work paid off and this provided me with a state-subsidized education, where the Russian government paid for 4 years of my studies. In my free time, I was also a member of the varsity athletics team, training 6 days a week and doing competitive middle-distance runs. I wanted to grow further, so I applied and recieved a full-time scholarship for the 2-years CEMACUBE (Common European Master's Course in Biomedical Engineering) Erasmus Mundus studies. It was awarded by the European Union amongst 12 out of 180 applicants. I obtained two Master's degrees from two leading European universities with great distinction, while being the best of my class at Ghent University. My love for research led me to a PhD. Again I received a 4-year personal scholarship from the Research Foundation Flanders. There I could do things I enjoyed the most: to research and present, to teach and travel. And I got an opportunity to get to know the Belgian culture, to drink coffee and eat pizza made by my Italian colleagues.Now I am all set for a new adventure, whether it be data science, biomedical research, or any other research-oriented job where I can use my creativity to solve real life problems.
