Beginning my career in the Australian Army, I served as an Infantry Officer, leading soldiers through peacekeeping and warlike operations on multiple overseas deployments. The lessons from my military service were more than strategies; they were about leadership, resilience, and the value of every individual in a team.After 12 years in the Army, I transitioned into the world of education. Holding a Bachelor's degree and with qualifications in Business and IT, I taught for a brief period at high schools. My passion for learning and development only grew as I became a lecturer at TAFE, moulding future web developers and programmers.The ever-evolving world of tech beckoned, and I embraced the title of a Full Stack Developer. Along the way, in addition to traditional web development I also learnt game development. Freelancing for various small businesses, I created digital solutions tailored to their unique needs. At Queensland Health, I was not just a developer, but an advocate for agile processes, ensuring a streamlined approach to project execution. More recently, with my role in defence consulting, I've been the driving force behind introducing generative AI and LLM application development, reinforcing the nexus between defence and cutting-edge technology.Entrepreneurship is in my DNA. As the founder of Simulation Training Group, I've pioneered training simulation systems with global resonance. Notably, our two flagship applications have garnered commendations with ratings between 4-5 stars, significantly elevating the technical acumen of soldiers and militaries worldwide.A holder of a Graduate Certificate in Business, a Graduate Diploma in Teaching, and a Business Analyst credential from RMIT University, I am a lifelong learner. I thrive on challenges, rapid prototyping, and crafting innovative solutions to novel problems.
