Strategic and operational development of a new service that seeks to provide outstanding support to vulnerable young people, including care leavers.

• Regulation 44 Inspections for an independent provider of children’s homes;• High level diligence reports and investigations;• Development of audit tools and procedures;• Expertise in safeguarding, including child protection and welfare;A deep working knowledge of regulatory compliance and legislation regarding services to vulnerable children and adults.

• Development of polices, procedures and protocols covering both education and social care (specifically Schools, Children’s Homes and Fostering);• Ensuring regulatory compliance that was demonstrated through consistently ‘good’ Ofsted inspection outcomes;• Responsible Individual (RI) for UCH Residential Children’s Homes;• Promoting UCH as a trusted provider within the domain of Children Looked After and vulnerable children;• Effective leadership and management.

In November 2008 I left teaching and became part of the Early Intervention, Prevention and Specialist Services team. My core responsibilities encompassed the monitoring of educational objectives and provision for children with severe and profound special educational needs, as well as those who experience difficulties that are conducive to local authority intervention. This was the start of my career in Education. Mainly teaching Key Stage Two, which I combined with Lecturing in Art Theory for AS/A2 students (2004/5)Additionally, during this period I worked on a sessional basis with a Publishing organisation. This consisted of copy-editing, design and formatting.
