Daryl has had extensive experience as an educator for over 30 years with the NSW Department of Education and Communities. During this time, he has worked in many leadership roles and has held a number of senior positions within the NSW Department of Education and Communities. He was appointed Director, Public Schools NSW Tweed in July 2013.His career in education began as a classroom teacher in 1978. After a variety of experiences across schools he was appointed as principal in 1992. As a Primary Principal and through his active involvement in the NSW Primary Principals’ Association, Daryl gained valuable insights into education at a state and national level. Daryl’s subsequent appointments to the positions of Chief Education Officer, School Education Director and Director Public Schools NSW have demonstrated his commitment to leadership development through building capacity among principals, education leaders and teachers across a wide range of school education groups across NSW. Daryl’s ability in bringing about positive outcomes is a demonstration of his effectiveness in all leadership positions.
