Provided front to back operational support to the front office AIM trading desk (AIM equities). This included trade execution/support, daily management of trade life cycle events (expiries, dividends, corporate actions, new issuances etc.), producing analysis for the trading desk/senior management and processing stock transfers (both internal and in-specie external transfers). Required working on systems such as the Crest GUI, Fidessa, Bloomberg and FactSet. Involved investigating open trades with external fund managers and brokers. • Weekly allotment trading of Octopus' flagship inheritance tax service investment (OITS) as well as some of their other main quoted investments such as the VCT allotments and OPM (fund traded on daily). Processing of ad hoc cash withdrawals, income payments, stock transfers and fee processing on these investments. There were a number of competing daily deadlines/SLAs for this role. I was responsible for liaising with various front office, middle office and back office teams to ensure issues relating to different investment types were resolved in an efficient and timely manner. • In co-ordination with the robotic/operation change team, I designed and implemented system enhancements for both the OITS allotment process and the robotic stock transfer process. This has streamlined both processes, reducing the need for manual input and has substantially increased the volume of stock transfers we process daily

My role involved handling and working to resolve all inbound investor and financial advisor enquiries to the highest standard, spanning the entirety of all Octopus’s investment products and services. Being a leading provider of tax and investment solutions for UK investors, offering a wide range of tax-efficient products, including Venture Capital Trusts (VCTs), Enterprise Investment Schemes (EIS) and Inheritance tax solutions, being an expert on these investment products was essential to performing this role.

As a PPI Review Handler my role involved handling customer complaints in regards to the miss selling of Payment Protection Insurance (PPI). My role included investigating cases and making decisions to withhold or reject the claim. I worked as part of a team towards strict deadlines and high levels of accuracy.The role required being able to communicate clearly and effectively to customers and colleagues and working towards productivity and quality targets.

Responsible for reporting, logistics and administration for cleaning services contracts for 135 Tesco Stores throughout Ireland. In charge of a team of drivers I organised distribution of machine parts and cleaning supplies to all stores, as well as arranging completion of all machine repairs. Management of service quality inspections throughout the 135 stores to ensure performance of cleaning is in line with Service Level Agreements.Key Achievements:- Devised and implemented a new repair management system which has optimized efficiencies from a financial, administrative and performance perspective. - Developed a new Delivery Rota as well as setting up a new stock levels system. This helped maximize the driver’s time on the road and keep more accurate stock levels. - Implemented quality management tracking system which assisted management with employee performance management and delivery of improved service quality.- Created new monthly reports, tracking: working hours, expenses, training requirements, equipment and stock levels.

As a member of the very client focused Stock Settlements Team I provided clearing and financial business solutions to a number of brokers.• Stock deposits – I checked the share certificates received into the office on a daily basis and processed them on our in-house Nexus system. Working efficiently to a tight deadline I returned them to the Registrars by our 2 pm for onward sale the following day. • Executed the settlement of trades using Crest GUI.• I also executed off-market transfers which included journaling and transferring in and out stock for clients, and non-certificated residual transfers. • I gained significant experience in dealing with clients and fund managers both by phone and e-mail, particularly during execution of residual transfers.• Working in a fast-paced office environment I enjoyed working to very tight deadlines at it was of the utmost importance to me that I delivered a very high level of accuracy and met or exceed agreed service levels with clients.

Providing support for Liquor Licensees applying for a new liquor licence, renewing a licence or varying an existing licence. This involved updating information on the Government’s database, creating and sending out correspondence to the various parties, working with licensees’, council and police over the phone and continual interaction and co-operation with fellow team members in the licensing team. This role required me to be detail oriented and work with a high degree of accuracy as well as having the ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines.
