Currently, I hold the position Global Operations Director at FCS Capital Markets Limited, a member of the FCS Group of Companies. The organisation stands at the forefront of innovative Funds and Capital Solutions, boasting offices in Malta, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Spain, and the UK. FCS Capital, the brokering arm of the FCS Group, excels in providing a comprehensive range of services, including brokering for diverse asset classes such as equities, bonds, certificates, and swaps.My journey with FCS began during a pivotal period when the company was applying for brokering permissions. As a key member of the team, I played a crucial role in setting up the IT, DMA, clearing, MIFID regulatory, and other essential systems. This proactive approach ensured the seamless execution of client business from the very day our permissions were approved. Currently, I'm responsible for the day-to-day operations, ranging from attending director meetings to leading a competent team that ensures timely trade settlements. I collaborate across various departments to enhance operational efficiencies and continually elevate all aspects of the company.Prior to this, I worked at Xconnect Trading Limited who were focused on providing brokering services to global customers via a variety of products. I was hired to work with the existing Middle Office & Settlement team, I was involved in the full trade life cycle and I worked closely with the company’s demanding equity brokerage team. I’ve also worked at Novus Capital Markets as an Operations Analyst. I was responsible for helping ensure timely settlement of equity and ADR’s trades. I also helped with the daily procedures, such as checking P&L and the end of day positions.
