I joined HME in 1993 to expand and develop the supply of Fume cupboards and metal furniture to both industrial and educational sectors.We worked with companies such as Lilly Research and developed their Fume Cupboard designs and bespoke Laboratory furniture layouts. we then concentrated solely on developing fume cupboards for Schools and colleges and supplied our own manufactured design to a number of schools. From around 2002, i got more involved in the Design Technology equipment and started to deal directly with Building contractors such as Kier, Bam and Lend Lease to help create a complete workshop solution supplying high quality products which included all fume and dust extraction systems designed to educational health and safety requirements.This was mainly to do with the New school builds under the PFI and BSF Programmes.As this developed, i found myself dealing with Architects, consultants, Local authorities and of course the Schools themselves.With the health and safety banner being such a big part of DT workshops and new school builds i went back to college to obtain my NEBOSH qualification and passed.Work is obviously a major part of my daily routine but my personal time is taken up with playing the Drums in a band called SKiNt (might be a reason for that!) and i also enjoy all sports especially football where i follow the mighty SPURS!Thank you for taking time to read my profile and if you want to prove to me that you have read this far, ask me for a chat about some of the famous rock n roll stars i have rubbed shoulders with!
