Senior lawyer with over 20 years of law firm and in-house experience at both regional and international organisations including holding senior leadership positions managing a team of counsels and driving the decision-making process on legal matters relating to strategic planning, financial regulatory, dispute resolution and corporate governance.In my current role as the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary for the NETS Group of companies (a leading payment services group in Singapore comprising 3 entities, Network for Electronic Transfers (Singapore) Pte Ltd, Banking Computer Services Pte Ltd and Nets Solutions Pte Ltd, which collectively manages and operates Singapore’s national payment system), I am responsible for leading, advising and managing all the legal and secretariat matters for the NETS Group.I am also part of the senior leadership of the NETS Group as a member of the NETS Group Executive Committee responsible for charting the strategic direction for the NETS Group.Prior to joining NETS Group, I was formerly the Head of Legal for the Singapore offices of CIMB Bank and CIMB Securities (now known as CGS International Securities) where I oversaw the entire spectrum of legal matters for both the bank and brokerage firm.In addition to having practised law with Allen & Overy in England and with Allen & Gledhill and Wong Partnership in Singapore, I have also held both legal and non-legal roles with various international financial institutions including Citigroup, Barclays Capital, Deutsche Bank and BNP Paribas.
