I worked a long time at Intel and consider it my foundational experience. Below are a few selected accomplishments. There is more detail in the honors and awards section of my profile.- Developed and deployed Weibull analysis methodology to address factory limitations due to poor equipment reliability. Presented to executive staff of semiconductor equipment suppliers resulting in upgraded methods & standards in the industry. Recognized as a key enabling methodology for Intel’s world class leadership in manufacturing reliability. - Developed, owned, and supported corporate wide global specification documents and policies for product qualification statistical methods with associated software tools, training and business decision flows. - Played a key role in improvement of quality of Pentium processors. Instituted improved test methods with associated statistical models, software tools and criteria resulting in > 10x improvement in Pentium quality levels.- Participated in and facilitated multiple task forces to ensure quality of Pentium II processors with test time reductions resulting in > $200 M savings for Intel, resulting in an Intel Achievement award. - Managed a team of 2 Senior software engineers and 3 Quality engineers to develop industry leading usage condition data collection capability. Deployed global surveys, supervised creation of multi-terabyte scale load balanced web services & MS SQL server databases while also serving as principal analyst for the project. Statistical analysis and modeling of the studies resulted in > $400 M benefit through a combination of capital avoidance, improved CPU product margins and accelerated volume production ramps.- 12 years on Intel University Faculty with consistently high ratings teaching statistics and quality courses including: Intro to SAS JMP, Statistics 101, Design of Experiments, Reliability Statistics, Yield and Bin Equivalency, Product Qualification Methodology.
