Whilst in this role, I provide BSL/English interpreting of lectures, meetings, tutorials, workshops, seminars and other academic settings. I also provide translations of written text and study skills support. I continually work closely with the college by providing Deaf awareness and basic BSL training is provided to staff and students.

Whilst in this role I provided BSL/English interpreting with in a variety of settings such as youth activities and other community settings.

Whilst in this role Daryl provided British Sign Language communication support within a higher education setting for a Deaf student whilst constantly promoting and providing Deaf awareness training. This entailed translating both written and oral word into BSL and translating from BSL into both written and spoken English. Furthermore, teaching and developing the understand of British Sign Language to both students and other professionals was also provided.

This job entailed working over three sites within Yorkshire. Daryl's role ranged from a service level of developing, building and maintaining a database, training, teaching, report writing, and aspects or service development. It also includes working clinically and systemically with clients, their families, and services surrounding them. This ranges from therapeutic work with clients, parenting/training, emotional regulation and anger management to mention a few. I use aspects of Mindfulness throughout most therapeutic sessions and encourage the use of 'Social Stories' as a therapeutic tool.

Whilst in this position, Daryl worked on a one-to-one with a young child who is Deaf/blind and has physical and learning difficulties in various difference activities and settings to promote physical and mental health and develop life skills.

In this position, I facilitated learning for second-year Psychology students, in groups ranging from 5-40 students. This role entailed planning of sessions based on student needs, student support, and presentation.

In this position Daryl worked a primarily shadowing position for psychological interviews with ex-offenders, whilst performing various research and administrative duties.
