I have over 30 years' experience in the oil and gas industry; including completions (well control equipment), LWD (down-hole electronic measurement devices) and drilling tools. I have equal interest in design, analysis and test.I have led large multi-disciplined teams to successfully develop a continuous stream of new products (to specification and within budget); whilst also providing engineering support to existing product lines. I have successfully combined this technology leadership, with maintaining and expanding my own technical knowledge and competency.I am widely recognised as a subject matter expert; experienced at representing company interests worldwide at all levels from customer meetings, to on-site engineering support, to technical conferences.I am an experienced manager, having had overall responsibility for organisations, up to 100 staff. I have personally been responsible for mentoring and developing a continuous stream of engineers from under-graduate level to fully fledged professional engineers. I have also successfully supervised University student projects and studies, up to PhD level.
