I have transitioned from individual contributor to manager and back several times in my career. I find both software development and management rewarding, and I have been successful at both. My experience in both roles has added to my skill set. And the transitions have helped me learn how to be a developer who exceeds my manager's expectations, and learn how to be a manager who puts developers in the best situation to be successful and focuses on maximizing their productivity.Throughout my career I've been an advocate for several technologies and best practices that I feel will meet my customers' needs or improve my team's productivity, including: Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Scrum.I am fluent in Python, C/C++, Go, Java, and PHP, and I am comfortable with JavaScript and Elixir.
