I lead organizational direction by establishing policies and procedures for operational and administrative tasks. To maintain high-performance teams, I boosted physician satisfaction by developing strong professional relationships and changing the structure of management of the physicians’ group. By standardizing procedures and training for staff, and utilizing competition between clinical staff, I drove wholesale improvements in patient experience and collections. To promote success, I collaborated with marketing and physician outreach to respond to admission, surgery, ancillary orders, and referral pattern changes and increase patient census.

I built strong teams through handling staff contracts including negotiations and renewals to retain skilled and experienced staff. By reviewing and improving the standard operating procedures I was able to enhance billing operations and drive revenue growth. By assessing market trends, I worked to identify areas for growth, such as expanding into new markets, constructing new facilities, and establishing new services to offer our patients.At Maria Parham Medical Center, I boosted access to care through on-boarding of an acquired OB/GYN practice that brought nine additional providers to our patients. I also improved success by empowering the Practice Managers to take clinical ownership through targeted clinic financials training.While still with LifePoint Health, but at Logan Regional Medical Center, I on-boarded five physicians, developed EMR support, and revamped the clinical schedules all leading to improvements in patient access to care. Through collaboration with cardiologists, we were able to reduce wait times and improve appointment availability which led to growths in clinic revenue.

During this two years the physician practices were sold b Health Management Associates to Novant Health and then returned to Health Management Associates after one year.While working at Chester Regional Medical Center, I led the organization through a transitional period from Health Management Associates to Novant Medical Group overseeing changes in contracts and credentialing while providing staff training on a new EMR system and new organizational procedures. I successfully steered the implementation of AllScripts practice management software for seven clinical sites that lead to policy unification and improved efficiency across the organization. I learned how to manage transformational change during this period.
