Called to the Singapore Bar, I am an employment lawyer and advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion. As Employment Counsel at Braze, I advise and support business and people leaders on all aspects of employment and labour law in APAC. I previously practised as an employment and disputes lawyer at Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow, where I advised and represented multinational companies in diverse industries on complex cross-border commercial and employment matters. I also served two secondment stints with the APAC employment legal teams at Apple and American Express. As a Fulbright scholar, I pursued my LLM at University of California Berkeley’s School of Law, where I was placed on the Dean’s List. I also graduated as the top student in the final year exams from the National University of Singapore’s Faculty of Law with an LLB (First Class Honours) with multiple academic awards. In addition, I hold a BA (Liberal Arts) (Magna cum laude) with a minor in Anthropology from Yale-NUS College.I volunteer with AWARE Singapore’s Sexual Assault Care Centre (SACC) Legal Clinic and previously represented pro bono clients under the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme (CLAS). While in college, I co-founded the Inter-University LGBT Network and the Community for Advocacy and Political Education (CAPE). In recognition of my community contributions, I was featured on Tatler Asia’s 2021 Gen.T Leaders of Tomorrow list and the Straits Times’ 2020 30 and Under list.
