Dear Hiring Manager, My name is Daryn Thomas, I am an outgoing and motivated individual, driven by a relentless work ethic yearning for success. I am a graduate of The State University of New York at Cortland, with a BA in Communications with a minor in Public Relations and Advertising.During my time at SUNY Cortland, I managed club activities and other endeavors as a full time student athlete. Which included interships, learning american sign language, starting campus initiatives, and participating in annual diversity conferences. Currently, I have been volunteering with small nonprofits in the Bronx, as well as speaking to the youth at a local charter school. I know how important it is to see yourself in the people that guide you. I believe that representation matters, my career choice is not confined to the overall description of Communications/Public Relations, but open to the world and those that find my set of skills valuable to their team.
