Daryn Nakhuda is VP Software of Waabi, an AI company building the next generation of self-driving technology. Daryn is a seasoned technology leader and entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in product development and engineering, at both startups and larger enterprises. He was CEO and Co-Founder of Mighty AI, one of the world’s leading data labeling companies, which was acquired by Uber in 2019, and part of the software leadership teams at Uber ATG and Aurora Innovation. Prior to launching Mighty AI in 2014, Daryn spent close to 20 years in product development: writing code, spec’ing products, and managing engineers. This includes serving as CTO of TeachStreet (sold to Amazon in 2012), helping launch the Amazon Restaurants business at Amazon, building large-scale systems from the ground up at Spam Arrest and eNIC (sold to VeriSign in 2001), and more. In his spare time, Daryn is an avid indoor cyclist (aka. Peloton fan boy!) who occasionally rides in the real-world, and an amateur cook working to perfect his live-fire technique on his Green Egg and backyard pizza oven.
