Daniel is an agricultural economist, technologist, geoinformation scientist and entrepreneur. His passion is to bridge the gap between the realities of people living in last mile communities affected by the global issues of climate change and globalization and technological innovations. He has spent the last 20 years working with partners in many technological driven initiatives. As CEO and shareholder of ESOKO, he has led one of Africa’s largest Agritech providers to navigate through a maze of digital products and developed several innovations for the African digital ecosystem. As a serial entrepreneur, he has founded two other agribusinesses, Adinkra Frontiers Limited that runs integrated poultry enterprise and Eucharia Farms Ltd, a company specializing in plantation crops and developing low-cost technologies enabled by AI for fruit and vegetable processing. Daniel has just founded two other start-ups, SikaFields Technologies a fourth industrial revolution enterprise that seeks to drive grass-root climate action to mitigate the impact of climate change on vulnerable communities and integrate thousands of Africa’s smallholder farmers into the global Carbon Credit Business and OpenTrade, a revolutionary platform that combines the powers of traditional e-commerce and affiliate marketing to create wealth for Africa’s urban populations. Daniel is a fellow of the United Nations University and the Unreasonable Group, a recipient of 2020 Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship of the Year Award . He has a doctorate degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Bonn, Germany, a double master’s degree in Geo-information Science from the University of Twente, The Netherlands, and a first-class bachelors in Agricultural Economics from Ghana’s KNUST.
