Conducts safety inspections of the department’s building and offices to ensure that all ADA and fire regulations are followed; discusses concerns with staff when appropriate, including but not limited to any staff-made risks such as storing boxes in a hallway that limits access; submits work orders for issues that need to be addressed by facilities. Monitors and re-stocks first aid kits and personal protective equipment in the building and department vehicles; arranges for disposal of biohazard materials at city-designated sites; works with city facilities maintenance to decontaminate any exposed office spaces, vehicles, or equipment.Oversees the department’s vehicles, including maintaining records of routine maintenance and emergency repairs and driving vehicle to and from designated locations for repairs and maintenance.
