Making positive connections with youth ages 5-14. Helping them determine their goals and realistically figuring out how long it may take to accomplish them. Another great aspect of my job is giving the youth a new perspective on life norms and how they may apply in their everyday lives.

Motivating youth that have been impoverished and living in unfortunate situations by making them realize that they do have a bright side to them and they are capable of doing anything they want with the creativity and hope inside of them. I personally worked with excellent group of six, seventh, and eight graders. I have a little experience with being impoverished growing up so personally this was another reason I chose to work with the Children's Defense Fund Freedom School.

Conducted research over the phone which enhanced computer literacy, increased interpersonal communication skills, and developed skills in adapting quickly to changing situations.
