Inbound Logistics Manager
Current• Plans and executes product delivery through vendors and outside carriers. Negotiates pricing and cost structure on loads. Determines if inbound loads will backhaul through internal fleet or outside carrier.• Input and manage data in systems. Provide support and assistance regarding all inbound loads. Coordinates deliveries across all internal cross functions. • Tracks and updates internal systems regarding transportation orders and itinerary status. Tracks inbound loads. Communicates daily and weekly with buyers, transportation staff, the internal logistics team and carriers to determine scheduling feasibility and reorganize regarding unplanned adjustments and changes.• Analyzes buying history and trends. Applies data to inbound load modeling and cost structures. Continually evaluates providers and costs for best value on deliveries. Provides ongoing reporting on findings. Assist in tracking and updating the operation system of current transportation orders and their itinerary status.• Communicate daily and weekly with Buyers, Transportation and Carriers to ensure scheduled times are feasible and communicated if outside the assigned due date• Ensure all information in the operating systems is updated in a timely manner
