Innovation Fellow
CurrentAs an Innovation Fellow on Planned Parenthood's Global Innovation Team, I am leading a comprehensive qualitative research initiative utilizing traditional oral history practices to explore the health experiences of Black women across various profiles, including Young Parents, users of Fertility treatment, Queer Black women, and Perimenopausal Black women. This research aims to uncover and address the gaps in healthcare experiences among these groups, identifying common threads and systemic issues that need to be addressed. In this role, I collaborate across multiple teams within the organization, including the Black Health Equity Initiative, Digital Products, and Health Strategy teams. By integrating diverse perspectives, I aim to develop a holistic understanding of the healthcare challenges faced by Black women and translate these insights into actionable strategies. The ultimate goal of this project is to invest in and support the development of a startup that addresses the unmet needs identified through this research, driving innovation and equity in healthcare for Black women.
