• Heading the mining operations for an 11 MTPA excavation looking after mining operations, mine planning, geology department, topography(survey) department, contract supervision and other general administration including obtaining government approvals.• Prepared mine plans for opening up of the iron ore mine in Chile using Surpac, Minesched• Prepared life of mine plans as well as yearly plans(long term) and monthly plans(short term)• Keeping track of mining concessions and mining properties.• Prepared scope of work, Negotiated and finalized contractors for the project• Smoothly started the operations as per the plans prepared• Feasibility Study and evaluation of further projects

• Prepared a Feasibility report for a lignite(brown coal) project (of 48 Mill Cu m handling) in Rajasthan involving o Compiling available geological information o Pit design for starting work and for first and second year using Surpac o Dump design o Equipment selection o Costing – Both Operational and Capital, Calculating NPV & IRR & Sensitivity analysis o Developing details for Lignite Handling Plant(Crushing & Conveying), Other infrastructure• Assisting Executive Director Mining on technical and commercial issues pertaining to new mining ventures and projects• Selecting consultants for various projects and drafting scope of work thereof.• Preparing scope of work & tender document for engaging contractors at the lignite project – both technical and commercial. Posted in Chile in a new iron ore project in the area of Mine Planning.Was the first person to arrive at the project site at Chile for opening up of a virgin magnetite hilly deposit. Organised the exploration drilling campaign through help of consultants. Gained fairly good idea of magnetite deposit and exploration of the same.Organising Exploration, Mine Planning in Surpac, Head of Topography/survey department, general administration. Handling Mining Contract scope & negotiation. Posted back to Mumbai in Jan 2009 as project was on hold.
