A vertically Integrated media services network comprising Advertising Works: Advertising Media Services | Creation Works: Conceptualising and producing Television Commercials, Branding; Content Ideation & Production | My Film Works: The Online Cinema platform for independent filmmakers.

Launched FARS1, the most viewed FARSI Television TV channel in the world targeting 100 million Farsi speakers. The channel achieved an audience share of ~80% each night within 6 months of launch.

Worked on the launch strategy of the FARSI television channel which included branding, channel packaging, formulating the business strategy, conducting market research, finalising program line-up, setting up of the company, Broadcast Middle East FZ LLC and hiring of the staff for the channel.

As CEO, I led the team at ANTV, a Joint Venture between STAR TV and the Bakrie group of Indonesia. ANTV, a Free-to-Air terrestrial television station is available to ~ 200 million people in Indonesia, employing ~ 1,100 people. The channel produced live news, Live sports and was the holder of the exclusive rights to the highly popular Indonesian Football league, Movies, Series and children programs. Within 6 months of my being the CEO, the channel improved its ratings and became the 6th most popular channel (from 9th) in less than 3 months. In addition, i improved the bottom line by 40%, from increased Advertising and rationalization of costs.

I was responsible to implement the internal business strategy of STAR across the company. During this time, I was working as part of the Management team in India to improve the business metrics and implement business strategies which would ensure continued leadership position for STAR in India.

Headed the Corporate Business Development team in Hongkong and concluded deals above a combined value of US$ 500 million. These included:- Acquire strategic minority stake in Balaji Telefilms (the biggest content production house in India),- Sale of the Radio Business, Radio City in India which allowed the station to continue operations- Acquire strategic stake in ANTV in Indonesia (deal valued at US$ 250 million)- Sell various media Investments of NewsCorp (~US$ 75 million) in Japan- Conclude Investment in Runde Investments in China (an erstwhile National network of concurrently operated time-bands on Terrestrial channels including the right to operate a satellite channel in China) - Launched STAR channels on Direct TV and ATN in Canada- Involved in planning and launch of the Tata Sky DTH Business in India- Involved in the planning for potential DTH launches in the Middle East and Pakistan- Part of the team involved in the acquisition of a minority stake worth US$ 240 million in the Koo's cable systems in Taiwan.

I joined Price WaterHouse in India after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. During this time, In addition to the statutory audits, i was also carrying out the internal audits for the United Nations Development Program in Maldives, Bangladesh and Nepal.

Upon completion of my Bachelor's degree in Commerce, i pursued my Chartered Accountancy course. As part of this requirement, I did my articleship with Khanna and Annadhanam in New Delhi.During this period of Articleship, i was involved in multiple Statutory and Tax audits of companies like MGF, Ansal Properties and Industries and FICCI amongst others.Upon completion of my Articleship i worked with a couple of CA firms while preparing for my Chartered Accountancy exams.
