Work with crossfunctional teams to produce through test plans for our Cranial, Spine, and Polestar products. Once the plans are ready do them and write accurate results reports.

 Worked with general contractors and hospital staff to install four Polestar Interoperative systems.  Maintained and serviced the 28 Polestar systems at hospitals around the United States. Installed and serviced 13 Integrated Operating Room (I-OR) systems in the United States and Australia. Maintained and serviced Medtronic’s O-Arm X-ray robot hospitals United States and Brazil. Part of the Polestar system is designed and built by an Israeli division consequently good international interpersonal and communication skills are required to build and maintain healthy working relationships. When in front of the surgeons, and other medical staff, accurately answered their questions in an informative and understandable manner.

Karl Storz Imaging Optronics Division, Goleta, CA A manufacturer of rigid and flexible endoscopy equipment and microscopy imaging systems with more than 3000 employees.SALES MANAGER CENTRAL REGION (Karl Storz Imaging Division) Sold imaging hardware and software for surgical and research microscopy by building personal relationships with end users and maintaining value adding dealer distribution network. Performed demonstrations of imaging systems in operating rooms and research laboratories resulting in brand building and income enhancement. Created Central Region marketing plan to implement division’s new distribution model.

Sold veterinary rigid and flexible endoscopy systems directly to veterinarians in 13 states and two Canadian provinces by generating leads at tradeshows and supporting training sessions held at key teaching institutions. By traveling the territory and educating veterinarians on otoscopy procedures, as related to advanced video techniques, via on-site demonstrations more veterinarians purchased new systems from KSVEA. Supported veterinarian training in the use of endoscopy equipment at three leading veterinary teaching institutions. Generated sales through cold calling and prospecting new leads and increased 2005 sales 65% over the previous year. Marketed the benefits of all types of endoscopic procedures for good patient diagnosis and recovery. All sales were followed up by performing system installation and training of all veterinary office staff for the safe use of endoscopic equipment, which continued to build the client relationships.

Wrote specifications for application software (winXP and WinNT) based on customer comments.Tested and distributed released software.Solved technical questions regarding microscope imaging software and hardware.Troubleshot customers’ microscope imaging systems, both on site and on the phone.Provided support to the sales department by traveling with sales team to end users and trade exhibitions and responding to customers’ technical questions.

Vexcel Imaging Inc., Boulder, CO (A start-up manufacturer of a high resolution photogrammetric image scanner) Assembled high resolution photogrammetric scanners used for digitizing aerial photographs then traveled (nationally and internationally) to install, calibrate, connect the scanner to the customers IT network and train all personnel. Some customer sites required an the installation of a Windows or UNIX based network of computers to become the storage servers of image files generated by the Vexcel scanner. Trained scanner support staff in Peru, China, United Kingdom, and Germany as well as the United States. Solved domestic and international customers’ scanner mechanical, software and network problems. Designed and installed a local area network for a mixed WindowsNT, Windows95, Apple and UNIX computing environment which supported various office applications.

Installed, repaired and maintained the navigation systems, computers, data network systems, mobile satellite communications systems, as well as scientific instruments and equipment on board the vessels. One major project was to specify new 3.5 kHz transducers for the R/V POLAR DUKE, redesigned the sonar transducer well and supervised shipyard personnel during installation. Prepared initial computer and data acquisition specifications for the R/V NATHANIEL B. PALMER, and assisted sub-contractors during the installation of the systems. The system combined UNIX data recording systems with a Novell LAN to provide access to the scientific data. Managed the vessel’s electronics budget, assisted in planning special projects, problem-solving, and coordinated communications with the scientific community so that correct equipment was acquired. Hired and supervised up to six onboard electronics technicians for both the R/V POLAR DUKE and the R/V NATHANIEL B. PALMER.

Supported National Science Foundation science cruises in Antarctica.

I helped design, build, maintain the data acquisition system for the R/V Nathaniel B. Palmer. Once the vessel was launched worked primarily keeping the data acquisition systems working on the R/V Polar Duke for various science programs.
