While at AECOM, I honed my data analysis, time management, and engineering skills. My time at AECOM culminated in managing teams of engineers and creating industry acclaimed data visualizations (linked below). Selected achievements from AECOM:• Managed multiple teams for timely delivery of hydraulic modeling on a project that was internally listed on the top ten most innovative projects of 2019 (Probabilistic Flood Risk Assessment). The modeling leveraged MonteCarlo analysis, Amazon Web Services, and two-dimensional hydraulic modeling for FEMA• Boosted AECOM's brand image by creating an automated and nationally acclaimed water resources data visualization tool to advance the public's perception of flood risk and to increase participation rates in the National Flood Insurance Program• Automated engineering and geographic information system processes to assess the financial impacts of a dam breach

The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) desired to know how their state water plan compared to other state plans across the country. Mr. Link’s role was to read thousands of pages of planning reports and to document measurable differences in the plans. Based upon findings he implored Texas Governor appointed board members to allocate funding and resources to bring the incorporate new analysis to the Texas state water plan so that Texas' plan may be the benchmark of quality water resources planning.

During my time working underneath the USDA I created a photo point monitoring system and interacted with local producers to understand their needs. I also helped to survey the Platt I reservoir in Oregon, assisted in white oak tree preservation, and received GIS training on the job.

My responsibilities included environmental programming creation and promotion. During the school year I encouraged fellow students to save energy and resources through high efficiency light bulbs, shower timers, recycling, composting, etc. My primary responsibility was to promote and assist students in gaining more sustainable lifestyles while living on campus.
