As an embedded developer and statistician, I worked with a team of analysts and data scientists to drive new insights about our customers. I enjoyed having access to so much data and cutting-edge technology. The ability to train and productionize models on petabytes of data was exciting and really helped to challenge and push my creativity and problem-solving skills. I especially enjoyed helping my team to increase their own analytical skills and to build the analytics infrastructure and expertise to quickly explore, test, and implement insights.

As the Director of Operations at Aspiro, I partnered with the heads of Marketing, Research, and Finance. Together, we formed the executive team. I was responsible for the largest department with over 100 full-time employees. From developing products to managing risk, I got to work with the best and brightest in the field and helped build the company from the ground up. Under my leadership, Aspiro grew to attract the majority of the market share in the industry.Company Description:Aspiro is an adventure-based therapeutic model for young adults and teenagers. Research suggests that youths may resist therapeutic insights in an office setting but embrace the process of therapy when engaged in adventure activities like skiing, rock climbing, and rappelling in the beautiful outdoors.

As executive assistant, I worked with ISER (Institute for Social and Economic Research) at the University of Alaska Anchorage to build data systems, data visualizations, and data models that described the work that CHA did (and to recommend mechanisms for improvement). By building outward-facing data-driven visualizations, CHA improved funding for its critical work. By building inward-facing models and visualizations, CHA improved the quality of its work and its success rate. These interactions with the Board of Directors improved my skills as a presenter and an analyst.Company Description:Covenant House Alaska is a 24-hr/day, 365-days/year shelter serving thousands of Alaska's homeless, at-risk, and trafficked youth.
