My role involves assisting with the delivery of the mass participation and elite athlete sports events produced by The Great Run Company. My responsibilities involve liaising with and managing contractors, working with volunteers and security personnel, assisting with the general build of the event and the course itself. The role requires a strong work ethic in order to effectively complete the tasks throughout the day and good interpersonal skills in order to maintain effective communication with the crew and external suppliers/contractors.

Aquality Education is a non-profit events company located in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. We set the organisation up in order to provide children access to sporting facilities. Start Swimming is our five day swimming course for school children from in and around the local community.I project managered our event, "Start Swimming", which included organising a team of my peers to produce an event that was delivered through our company ‘Aquality Education’ as part of an accreditation module in University. I managed to secure sponsorship for the event, liaising directly with Sainsbury’s Supermarket to secure them as the title sponsor and devising a detailed strategy to ensure we could attract participants to the event.Start Swimming is a five day swimming course run by Aquality Education, targeting Key Stage 2 children that have not yet met the National Curriculum target of confidently swimming 25m unaided. The event has been built on the success and reputation of previous events run in 2013 and 2014.Over the 5 day event, we saw 75 children successfully hit the government's 25m swimming target for KS2 children.
