Responsible for analyzing sales channel fraud using statistical analysis, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Natural Language Processing. Leveraged sophisticated feature engineering and data pipelines to build AI system which achieves human level performance on fraud prediction.Created data visualizations and dashboards which enhanced the support organizations visibility regarding compliance posture. Continuous analysis of security and compliance posture of the Cloud Computing platform and provided management with technical and business risk assessments.

Developed strategies for Product Management in order to expand Verizon’s Cloud offerings into adjacent markets such as PaaS, SaaS, Big Data and IoT. Used data-driven analysis and visualization of Cloud market and current operational data to identify opportunities for new revenue and cost savings. Provided market assessment of Big Data ecosystem for accelerating revenue for Verizon’s IoT offerings. Analyzed operational data for Cloud solutions and provided management reports for operational improvement.

Responsible for assessment of technical aspects of cloud computing and creation of strategies for IaaS, SaaS and PaaS to achieve $1.5B in new revenue. Designed the next generation IaaS product using scale-out design and distributed computing for Verizon and continue to guide the product development teams on its implementation. Maintained “Big Bets” list of M&A opportunities and gap analysis used evaluate growth strategies. These activities included identification of technical gaps, M&A and investment opportunities, strategic partnerships, and technical due diligence of these companies. Performed due diligence activities on the Verizon acquisitions of CloudSwitch, Terremark, SAP HANA Partnership and other non-executed opportunities.

Lead Architect of Verizon's first cloud computing product; Computing as a Service. This patented system automates all aspects of the datacenter; physical and virtual server deployments, network automation, storage automation and application delivery. Computing as a Service was Verizon’s first Infrastructure-as-a-Service product and generated $100M in revenue and moved Verizon into the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Public IaaS from 2009 to 2012. Responsible for the overall design principles, delivery timelines and key technical decisions. Managed a team of 35+ technical engineers and architects which implemented the datacenter, servers, storage, network, and created all orchestration and automation software. Deep understanding of distributed computing, scale-out design principles, and business integration systems related cloud computing back-end systems. Within Verizon this team pioneered the use of Agile development and Scrum techniques to deliver revenue on an accelerated (9 month) delivery schedule. Worked with service delivery and the end-to-end supply chain to minimize support costs and reduce internal delivery times by over 50 percent.

Responsible for the product engineering of storage solutions that were sold to Managed Hosting customers. Lead the Storage Engineering that developed innovative billing models and technical solutions such as Utility Storage and Enhanced Smart Backup which were early “pay per Gigabyte” services.Enhanced internal process by establishing design standards, test methods, performance benchmarks, and best practices for deploying and maintaining data storage systems in production.Engaged customers and sales to design custom storage solutions for customers which accelerated sales while maintaining consistent support costs. Continued to work with Product Management to define roadmaps for storage solutions to meet revenue targets, align with future technologies, and incorporate customer requirements.

Assigned to the JHU Applied Physics Laboratory for administration of Microsoft Exchange at a government/educational facility. Duties included backup, recovery and daily maintenance of a large multi-site MS Exchange installation. Designed and deployed the first Storage Area Network installation for the Business Services Group at the Applied Physics Lab which was implemented to help meet the future needs for growth.Provided systems and application support for the Joint Warfare Analysis Department and Secure Classified Information Facility (SCIF).
