In this role I worked closely not only with UK staff and global outsourced providers but also worked internationally with staff in France, Germany, India and the USA to lead teams and projects and to build and maintain the business IT in a rapidly changing environment and within the constraints of corporate regulations.Over the time I worked with Carrier Transicold and the parent company, United Technologies I became a trusted and integral part of the UK operation working directly with senior management in the UK and beyond becoming the sole UK IT subject matter expert for all day to day and project related IT.As part of a global team working under the United Technologies umbrella I supervised teams across the world and locally with regard to projects for the local entity:- Provided IT strategy for software and hardware projects- Working with SQL server team based in India and parent company in France with regard to software projects and upgrades, day to day performance, replication management and underlying hardware upgrades- Managed development of corporate extranet, both infrastructure and coding and adherence to corporate policies- Managed performance of support staff on site: overseeing work, compliance with policies & procedures, liaising with service delivery managers.- Managed server teams with respect to local entity - both hardware and software.- Stakeholder management and leading with in depth technical knowledge across the corporate structure- I was the project lead for every local project and the point of contact for both senior management, technical teams and parent company- Managed all outsourced providers providing software and hardware services to the business and mediated between outsourced and internal teams- Managed backup and DR planning Show less
