As a seasoned Dive Supervisor with over twenty years of experience in the commercial diving industry, I have successfully led and managed a wide range of underwater projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and precision at every depth. My expertise spans underwater construction, inspection, maintenance, and repair, with a strong emphasis on safety, adherence to regulatory standards, and best practices.My role involves meticulous planning and execution of dive operations, including risk assessment, equipment management, and team coordination. My leadership style is collaborative and supportive, fostering a culture of safety and excellence among my dive team.With a focus on inland marine infrastructure, I am committed to maintaining the highest standards of operational integrity and environmental stewardship.Connect with me to discuss how my expertise can contribute to your next underwater project.Before my commercial diving career I spent ten years as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist developing innovative, unusual and engaging programs for the clients I served. During that time, and rather early in my career, I began working at a facility called CATS (Comprehensive Addiction Treatment Services), a job that gave me the opportunity to develop activities and programs for adults struggling with addiction.These activities were, what I call today, "Relatable, Engageable, and Fun". I wanted to be able to talk about "Fun in Sobriety".Developed based on initiative activities from my training as a Ropes and Initiatives instructor these activities helped to break through initial treatment resistance, develop a strong sense of community among the patients, increased satisfaction with the treatment process, and a whole lot of other good stuff. I began facilitating groups at other treatment centers for both inpatient and outpatient populations throughout Northern Virginia and southern Maryland, earning the unofficial title as "The Fun Guy". In addition I was asked by other professionals in the field to provide inservices focused on leading and processing groups and activities at their facilities.And then I became a Commercial Diver in 2002. Despite leaving the field of Therapeutic Recreation I continued leading groups actively until 2015. Now I'm doing it again.I also like soccer and cooking.
