Built with modern Javascript and the React framework, powered by Rails and shipped on AWS. Maintained Rails based Facebook Messenger chatbot with >200,000 MAU. Grew to >300,000 over a year.Repurposed existing Rails backend systems from Squad-Up to reduce time to market for the instant game.Leveraged AWS Lambda to build out high-scale image generation for competition standings. Daily Fantasy activity is driven by sporting events, so regularly would need to tens of thousands of custom images for players in a 5 minute time window.Front-end refactor focused on application size and performance allowed our instant game to be one of 5 games featured in emerging markets where users primarily have poor network connectivity and lower-end devices.
