Dat Phu is a Project Lead at ASML. They is proficient in Vietnamese and Hainanese (Chinese dialect). Colleagues describe them as "Dat is an understated guy. He may lead you to believe he's slacking off while in reality he's fixing problems right and left and accomplishing miracles. He's very easy-going, can be counted on to work his tail off when needed, and gets along well with everybody except for those few who won't do their jobs competently despite much effort to get them to improve their performance. I can't say that's surprising as nearly everybody else had trouble getting along with those few, too. As a software engineer, he can handle a variety of tasks from embedded systems work to MPEG system transport protocols to control interfaces such as web GUIs, SNMP, and LCD/keypad interfaces. He's got a willingness to expand his skills beyond his past experiences, and I at times I had him doing some IXP microcoding, also, as even though the learning curve on that can be daunting, I knew he could handle it. I would be very pleased to work with Dat again."
