Within a short span of 10 years due to rapid development and massive increase in vehicle ownership, the irreversible change has left an impact on the community. While every developing nation needs to thrive on transportation to fuel the aggressive pace at which the economy expands, I know that there must be better ways to do transportation and logistics without the expense of leaving dirty carbon footprints everywhere.In the last 20 years, I’ve been the CEO of Westar Maxus and the National Sales Manager for Ford Malaysia. Prior to joining Treeletrik I was the Managing Director of GMT where I gained 3 major clients with a total of close to 270 vehicles with our solutions in a short time. In my roles I have :1) Opened new markets within ASEAN countries, specifically in Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia;2) Built dynamic teams that consistently yield sustainable annual growth in each market;3) Be involved in product development and customisation to suit local needs;4) Being a leader in the automotive industry has also helped me establish relationships with relevant government ministries that shape policies for their countries.In 2010, the government of Malaysia conferred an award to me which carries the honorific title of ‘Datuk’, in recognition of my contribution to the automotive industry and to both the state and federal government. I currently hold a Fellowship from the Institute Motor Industry from Franshaws, Brickendon in Hertford, UK and obtained my bachelor’s degree from Kansas Wesleyan University, Salina, Kansas USA.Renu and I have been married for close to 25 years and we have two beautiful children.
