a)In capacity of Inspector of Explosives in Central Western Zone of Tanzania, my responsibilities were:• Processing applications for importation, acquiring, conveying and construction of explosives storage facilities• Inspecting explosives storage facilities in order to abide with the explosive law and its regulations• Preparing guidelines and designs necessary forexplosives storage facilities• Accessing applicants and issuing of blastingcertificates to the qualified personnel• Designing and Maintaining explosives database for Central Western Zone related on importation, conveyance, manufacturing, storage, usage and destruction of explosivesb) In capacity of Inspector of Mines in Central Western Zone of Tanzania, I was responsible for:• To ensure compliance with the laws governing mine safety and the health, safety and welfare of mine workers in large scale mines• On safety side, to inspect and identify immediate safety hazards in large and small scale mines and give directions for avoiding the accident• To inspect the areas under rehabilitation forpreparation of mine closure so that the work is done as per Environmental Management Plan (EMP)• Conduct regular environmental inspection in areas of small scale mines and give directions on the proper means of environmental protection• Conduct training to small scale miners on the proper use of mercury for mineral extraction
