Mr. Songpanya began his career with the US State Department in 1986 at the US Mission, Berlin, where he oversaw the installation of the State Department’s first e-mail system and managed one of the largest IT Systems in the US Foreign Service. Mr. Songpanya transferred to the US Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he supervised the installation of network systems for several US Embassies and Consulates within the Region and provided connectivity between them and the State Department in Washington, DC. Mr. Songpanya joined Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) in 1992 reporting directly to the Chairman, HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Al Saud. He served as the director and adviser to HRH. He designed and constructed a vast private telecommunications network, which became the backbone of a multi-billion dollar enterprise. Mr. Songpanya was also responsible in maintaining liaison between Prince Alwaleed and other high-profile members of the international business community as well as with numerous Heads of State. Mr. Songpanya resigned from this senior advisory position at KHC in December of 2001.From January 2002 to the present, Mr. Songpanya has managed and facilitated the participation of members of the Royal family at official events in the USA and Europe, and served as liaison between them and high-level contacts in Washington, DC. He has developed and invested in worldwide digital media distribution services, and was a consultant for HP for digital newspaper printing. He also assisted private companies with various projects in the Middle East and Asia with deployment on various security and military-related projects. Mr. Songpanya is frequently relied upon as an independent technical consultant to provide full service ground stations and satellite solutions to Government/Commercial systems and network operators including various U.S. Government branches and agencies, Intelsat, INMARSAT, Viasat, DirecTV, Booze Allen Hamilton, L3 and Boeing.
