Having a family restaurant I have naturally been in the service industry my entire life. I have managed and help open several kitchens, bars and entire restaurants by the age of 24, and I take all of that experience very seriously and hold it as a very valuable asset in my arsenal. At this point in my life, I would like to delve into a new realm of work and establish a career. My sights are set on a job in tech. I began my education by watching videos and taking independent courses on programming, including an intro the the language C from Dartmouth, as well as introduction to Computer Science from Harvard. Once I felt confident enough in the syntax and concepts of programming, I decided to enroll in a bootcamp. I chose Coding Dojo based on their option for an accelerated course, as I am eager to get into the tech industry, and when I want to learn something I want to learn as much and as fast as possible. I took a full stack program that has versed me in the front end development tools HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and pointed me in the direction of Bootstrap and REACT which I am learning on my own time. I am now finishing up the second half of my stack and applying Python, Flask, MySQL, and JINJA2 to make full stack apps with a SQL database. After getting this far into the program I now know that I have an affinity towards front end development, but out of a sense of pride my goal is to keep my backend development knowledge up to date and always be ready to be a full stack developer. I want to make a difference, I want to help people, and I want to enjoy what I do. If I can accomplish the first two I am sure the third will come naturally.
