As Frontend Technical leader on ”Lyft Concierge”, a Lyft Business product, I successfully led multiple cross-functional and cross-team projects from ideation to launch in Concierge Web and API. I collaborated closely with UX designers, product managers, backend engineers, quality engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure optimal user experience, data consistency, and performance. Some notable examples include: – Redesigning and transitioning Concierge Web from AngularJS to React, transforming a UI that catered to the needs of a limited number of partners into a product capable of meeting the evolving demands of high-volume customers, such as healthcare providers. – Re-architecting the backend layer of Concierge Web from a REST-based monolith to a Backend-for-Frontend pattern using GraphQL. This change accelerated the development of new web features by reducing the need to implement new API endpoints to consume existing data from upstream services. – Working on high-priority projects that allowed us to meet contractual milestones on time, such as supporting Disney Minnie Van on Concierge Web, and making Concierge Web WCAG/508 accessibility compliant. The compliance effort required auditing existing pages, redesigning some UI components, and building tooling to detect and prevent future violations on our CI. • Served as a long-term mentor to other engineers from diverse teams. I mentored 3 frontend engineers, 1 full-stack engineer, and 2 interns, providing guidance on team practices and Lyft infrastructure, as well as support to help them develop their technical skills and achieve their career goals.

• Collaboration in the development of an ASP.Net MVC 5 app for calculating the daily oil & gas distribution for PEMEX’s exploration and production, with data retrieved from diverse institutional databases, including the data visualization for each point of the distribution network.– Implementation of the algorithm for the distribution calculation, including a task queue for running the algorithm without interrupting the web app.– Development of the UI for the distribution network visualization,with Angular 1.5, Slickgrid,PDFjs and D3js (see related-projects) .– Implementation of a battery of unit tests with Nunit for decreasing the validation time of the results from the distribution calculation, which also allowed to detect errors in the business logic due to bugs in the distribution network design.– Configuration and deployment of the app to Amazon Web Services platform.– Design and implementation of a django app using Vagrant and Puppet,as a proof-of-concept for replacing the .Net-based app by a more scalable architecture which also could take advantage of PyChemQt library for improving the current algorithm by replacing it with a functionality closer to a chemical process simulator.
