Responsible for developing and managing the NOAM Regulatory Affairs strategy. Also responsible for developing and managing the Government Relations and communications strategy for North America. This involves working with external stakeholders, internal customers and regional regulatory bodies on regulatory and legislative advocacy matters. I also handle advocacy activities at the Federal and State level, as well as working with our industry Trade associations and retailers. Responsible for providing regulatory expertise to internal stakeholders and external customers. - Responsible for providing product regulatory and other information to retailers and/or their contractors through WERCS, other retailer-specific databases or in response to direct sales team inquires. - Manage various retailer based sustainability initiatives- Participate in industry wide transparency and sustainability programs- Work directly with Regulatory, Sustainability, Public Affairs, Corp. Communications, Marketing, Sales, R&D, and product development- Review all new product launch formulas and ensure compliance - Review SDS's and provide them to retailers directly or through the WERCsmart Portal- Proactively seek improvements of systems and processes related to monitoring compliance with retail and government chemical regulations, sales related retailer chemical sustainability inquiries and other special projects as assigned. - Interact directly with retailers on subjects related to formulation / packaging requirements concerning sustainability, ingredient disclosures and consumer facing communications and represent the CPD Division of L’Oreal USA on chemical sustainability-related industry forums by participating in appropriate task forces and trade associations.- Responsible for serving as liaison between sales and Research & Innovation and other internal departments and advising formulators on upcoming ingredient-related regulations retailer requirements.

Manage the WERCSmart database to ensure formula compliance. Oversee creation of Safety Data Sheets and manage our internal ingredient database and our external ingredient information website, www.rbnainfo.com. Help manage and prepare for the transition to GHS/HCS2012. Deal with new regulations and requirements from retailers and government agencies. Review product graphic labels for CPSC brands to ensure regulatory compliance. Manage the California Post Consumer Recycle (PCR) report, to ensure compliance with CA regulations. Assist in gathering information for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) calculations to ensure compliance with changing VOC regulations, for the Federal EPA, as well as the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and the Ozone Transport Commission (OTC) states. Keep up to date with the changing regulations in the US and Canada, including TSCA reform, Prop 65, HazCom 2012, GHS, etc.
