Seasoned professional with over 20 years in education and more then 8 years in government policy, I bring a wealth of experience in leadership, change management, and policy development. As Director of the Ministry of Natural Resources since 2015, I spearheaded transformative policies in the Extractive Industry and Energy Sector. In my position I effectively contributed to the implementation of critical energy legislation, the founding of a national minerals institute, and led the process for the integration of the EITI process in Suriname. In August 2020, I became the first Managing Director of the Energy Authority of Suriname, responsible for establishing it as the key regulatory body for the energy sector. My role centered around innovative transformation and change management, introducing a result-oriented work culture with key performance indicators. My journey in this role culminated in December 2023, marking the beginning of my new path as an independent consultant from January 2024, leveraging my extensive experience to drive organizational excellence and societal improvement.

This encompasses the protection of water quality, and the efficient management of water supply for various uses.Collaboration with various stakeholders, including government agencies, industry experts, local communities, and international bodies, was a key part of my role.
