Licensed engineer working on 737, A320, Hercules & ATR aircraft, carrying out heavy maintenance checks on all customer aircraft. Tasks involved servicing ot aircraft systems, general inspections and detailed inspections, troubleshooting, component changes (ranging from engines to flight controls)I have also carried out a MEDA course which has enabled me to carry out level 1 maintenance investigations from start to end with recommendations on outcomes and improvements.I am an active OSH rep in which I have helped to develop the initial Hazard register for the Christchurch aircraft hangars.

This role involved taking OEM and customer requirements and producing Aircraft Maintenance workscopes for heavy checks.This included reviewing Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, customers operated requests and the workscopng of deferred tasks. Producing a workscope document that is used to carry out an aircraft maintenance visit.This role involved project managing each check and communicating with the many different areas and trades within Engineering and Maintenance to produce accurate workscopes.

This role worked closely with management to help, develop and maintain a culture change within engineering and maintenance.During this time I was key in instigating tool box meetings with individual teams which lead to many positive outcomes and a culture change within the teams of taking on responsibilities of change.I also facilitated the Leadership Behavior programme where we succeeded in 100% attendance within Christchurch base. This programme broke down the Air New Zealand leadership behaviors and how they applied to all the leaders within engineering and maintenance.

Carrying out all types of Aircraft servicing from:Line maintenanceHeavy maintenanceComponent overhaulsEngine/air-frame servicingEngine rebuildsI also worked as Tech Support to the Iroquois fleet carrying out tasks such as reviewing and implementing Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, maintenance plans and component life records.I was deployed with 3 Sqn in East Timor for 6 months, 6 Sqn Sea Sprite helicopters for a period of 2 years. During these deployments I was in charge of maintenance and running a team of Aircraft Engineers carrying out daily maintenance and rectification to ensure the Aircraft was air worthy and able to carry out all tasks assigned to them.I also carried out a role as Lead Auditor carrying out audits of processes and policies utilised within the RNZAF. This would entail auditing different areas within the RNZAF.
