Lead technical resource on projects to deliver hosted solutions enabling secure mobile connectivity for high profile customers. All low level designs delivered on time and to schedule (including what was, at the time, the largest single Mobile Device Management solution in the world measured by number of devices). Solutions have included BlackBerry, MobileIron, Good for Enterprise, Good Dynamics and AirWatch applications using IPSec, leased line and MPLS connectivity as well as cloud-based solutions from third parties.

Responsible for delivering solutions enabling secure mobile connectivity. Consulting on, designing, installing, upgrading and troubleshooting BlackBerry and Good for Enterprise solutions connecting to Exchange, Domino or Groupwise by visiting customers across the UK.Customers range from SME to huge multi-nationals, small QUANGOs to high security Central Government departments.

All manner of domestic and small commercial IT work undertaken on a part-time basis to supplement income following an expensive house-move. Advertising in the local paper and online eventually led to more work than could be handled as a second job. Having decided therefore to stop advertising and just retain return-business and word-of-mouth referrals from January, I then ceased the small business completely from April accepting this as a pre-condition of my new position with Vodafone.

South East Region Working Out Of Horsham, West Sussex

Responsible for all IT matters across more than 50 sites in Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Hampshire, Sussex, Kent and Channel Islands and line manager for one assistant plus contractors as required. Liaising with Government Agencies, Local Authorities, other charities and contractors to deliver a secure and robust infrastructure for the provision of statutory children’s services. Negotiating and enforcing SLAs from our suppliers and ensuring we met our SLAs as contracted.

Working as part of a team of 8 to maintain and troubleshoot the existing solutions in two separate Windows NT 3.51 and 4.0 environments as a service shared across two Government departments. Planned and implemented solutions when bidding for work from other departments within the Civil Service. Designed solutions to enable use of the digital photography securely across the VOA.

Worthing, West Sussex

Initially trained and worked as Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax Revenue Officer working an allocation of tax cases, assessing and meeting taxpayers as necessary. Acting as District Liaison Officer, moved to Infrastructure 2000 project replacing all computer systems ahead of the expected "Millenium Bug".
