I started working within the field of mental health in 1994 working on a Psychiatric Intensive care ward. I completed my Registered Mental Health Nurse training in 2004. I have gained experience of working as a Staff nurse and Clinical lead within Psychiatric Intensive care and Psychiatric acute admission wards. I currently work as a Deputy Clinical Service Manager within Urgent care- Adult mental health taking the lead in developing rehabilitation services and pathways within CWP. Prior to this I was a Ward Manager on an Intensive Rehabilitation ward and more recently a PICU where I lead the Multidisciplinary Team in delivering care that is recovery focussed and collaborative in nature. I have worked with the ward teams in developing the services and was involved in the development of a business case to increase the bed capacity on the rehabilitation unit which included the development of two self contained flatlets thereby developing the rehabilitation pathway within CWP. In addition to this I have worked (again with the team) in developing the Complex Recovery Assessment and Consultation Service which is a team that sits within the wider Rosewood suite of services. This team offers comprehensive assessment of individuals needs within acute services and offers advice in their ongoing plan of care for the future. I also sit on Clinical Senate with the West Clinical Commissioning Group.
