Supporting the North American deployment of SAP-VCM for the Rail Car Overhaul Business unit.Responsible for managing the Site Operational Readiness for the four manufacturing sites, eleven Operations & Maintenance sites and the North American Head Office during the cut-over and support phase of the deployment. The project covered 16 sites in the North American Division with more than 1500 users in three languages. The solution covered the engineering modules, Methods, Production Planning, Inventory, Procurement, Finance and Time and Attendance for over 4000 plant employees.

Responsible for the transformation of a Quality organization from "police state" to "coaching" model. Developed and managed the site Business Management System. Incorporated the Quality Management System into the overall Business Management System ensuring that the business needs were supported by the quality system.

Responsible for the development and management of the Planning and Logistics functions for the Kanona site. Member of the site leadership team.

Project Manager for the re-implementation of SAP including standardizing processes and procedures for the business and IT operations of a new Overhaul and Repair facility.

Designated the Services Division ‘Key User’ for Methods/Manufacturing Engineering for the development and roll-out of the UK implementation of SAP. Designated Project Manager for ensuring the readiness of the Crewe UK site including process standardization, data cleansing, training and change management.

Assisted in the implementation of Lean Manufacturing techniques in the Rail Overhaul industry. Developed and presented training materials and facilitated 5S, business and process improvement workshops. Analyzed business processes and developed current and future-state Value Stream Maps, standard working procedures and other process documentation. Implemented Six Sigma and lean tools such as kaizen, 5S, kanban (pull) systems, standard work, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and personal mentoring/coaching. Supported the development and implementation of the site’s change management strategy.

Developed and implemented the Methods function (Manufacturing Engineering) on a site with 750 manufacturing staff. Led and developed a team of Methods Technicians to manage the manufacturing processes, estimation of new work and warranty/field service issues. Developed and implemented strategy, policy and processes for technical control of the remanufacturing and overhaul of Bogies, Wheelsets, Traction Motors and sub-components for the rail industry. Introduced and supported the integration of new manufacturing technologies and methodologies.

Responsible for adapting the existing SMB (Bombardier Manufacturing System) model to suit the BT Services business model. Functioned as part of the divisional Operations Development and site Senior Management team to analyze the existing business structures and recommend & implement appropriate courses of action. Developed and adjusted the organizational structure for the site. Involved in the planning and execution of divisional re-structuring & alignment initiatives.
