David E. Barber is a Executive Vice President of Newspaper Relations for PARADE magazine, where he is responsible for planning and strategy for the magazine’s more than 740newspaper partners.Prior to joining PARADE, Barber spent 17 years at USA Weekend, where he ultimately became an SVP of Newspaper Relations. Under his leadership, the magazine’s circulation grew from 13 million to 23 million, and the number of distributing newspapers more than doubled, from 300 to over 640. He was also responsible for overseeing all sales and retention, marketing and promotional outreach.Prior to joining USA Weekend, Barber held various sales management positions at United Press International, Sawyer-Ferguson-Walker, and newspapers in New Jersey, including the Vineland Times Journal. He attended Gloucester County College in Sewell and Rowan University in Glassboro, and was an adjunct professor of advertising at Cumberland County College. He resides in Sewell, NJ.
