Columbus, Ohio Area

Supervised and coordinated activities of up to 180 employees of a unionized workforce, this was done by understanding and working within union rules and regulations. I worked very closely with relay to ensure the timely movement of loads that had to be choreographed with the unloading and unloading of time sensitive shipments to meet the scheduled deadlines of the destination terminals.

Tampa/St. Petersburg, Florida Area

I was responsible managing the day to day operations of the picking up and delivering of shipments within a city operation that consisted of Tampa and the surrounding areas. This involved managing a unionized workforce while being directly responsible for maintaining company goals on customers per hour and tonnage per hour. I utilized a global positioning system to track drivers movements according to deliveries and pickups and when necessary used this as a tool for coaching and counseling to achieve required results. I was responsible for the planning and utilization of all rental equipment while staying within budget. I fostered safe handling and storage of hazardous materials as provided by the Department of Transportation and did this by conducting safety seminars in regards to hazmat and OSHA regulations coupled with safety rules and expectations.

Directly responsible for the day to day operations of a facility that had revenues of over $3 Million per year. I was responsible for all maintenance issues while developing vendor relations while working within a budget. Implemented the development of personnel through training programs while maintaining a incentive program to produce a competitive and enjoyable environment. I managed all warehouse functions that included all warehouse shipments, transfers and order returns. I consistently managed my warehouse crew to the top of the company scoreboard monitoring efficiency and accuracy.
