Managing the newly completed National RDA Centre, supporting three RDA groups, & building a commercial equestrian centre.Key achievements:Within my time at the RDA, I turned the business around from losing money to a profit of c.£8,000 and growing per month through means of:- Creating and implementing a full booking system for the riding centre which enabled allocation to existing RDA groups and provided a structure for hiring the arenas out for commercial activities, thus opening potential for the RDA to build new revenue streams including: hiring arenas to third parties such as dog agility groups, private functions, private riding lessons, ticketed events and partnering with British Horse Society for BHS examinations- The first ticketed event was a fundraiser organised in association with the Eventing Riders Association of Great Britain (ERA) to support the Equestrian Fire Relief Australian Fund, which sold out within 48 hours- Successfully introducing corporate volunteer days; the first of which was with the National GridKey responsibilities:- Created an internal equine welfare / standards policy statement and minimum standards for yard maintenance- Completed a centre-wide health & safety risk assessment- Gained the Animal Welfare DEFRA licence for the RDA National Training Centre at 5* level- Land management and maintenance of the riding centre- Managing a team of yard staff and instructors- Oversight of the health and welfare of c20 horses
